Ashur Hall, Head Brewer at Stomping Ground, is the creative force behind the brewery’s diverse range of beers. For Ashur, brewing isn’t just a job—it’s a labor of love that demands both precision and passion. The process is as challenging as it is rewarding, especially given the brewery’s dedication to variety.
“The most challenging thing about what we do here at Stomping Ground is brewing the variety of beers we do, propagating the yeasts from scratch, delivering them on time, and juggling the tanks,” Ashur explains. “It’s a balancing act—managing timelines, perfecting flavors, and making sure every beer is as good as it can be.”
But it’s the outcome that makes it all worthwhile. For Ashur, nothing compares to the moment when a new beer is poured into a glass for the first time. “Designing, brewing, fermenting, conditioning, filtering—it’s an intense journey,” he says. “And it’s really satisfying when you get it there, you drink it, and it worked out the way you want it to. That’s what keeps me coming back, day after day.”
